Sign-in to your library account before you begin your search
It is easier to request items if you are signed in first. The Library Account sign-in link is located under the search box on the library's homepage. In order to access online items off campus, users must be signed in to Primo. Learn more about your Library Account.
From the library's home page, select the "Course Reserves" link under the main search box. Then search by course name and number or instructor last name. For example: in the search box type "NURS" for all nursing courses, "NURS 4191" for the specific course, or "Hart" for instructor.
Summit borrowing is a web-based service that allows current SU students, faculty and staff to request materials from other Orbis Cascade Alliance libraries, using the Library Catalog. The service is fast, easy to use and accessible at any time from the Library or your home or office. Items that are available in Summit will appear and can be requested when searching in any scope, including the main scope SU Libraries, Summit, and Articles. On the advanced search screen, you can change the scope to Summit Libraries. A search in Summit Libraries will retrieve items available at Lemieux and Law (which are also available through Summit) and items in Summit that SU libraries do not have.
You can place requests for Summit books while working in the Catalog. You must be signed in to your Library Account before Summit requests can be submitted. The following screenshot illustrates how to place Summit requests:
Items that are are not available via the SU Libraries or Summit may be available in Libraries Worldwide. Libraries Worldwide items will only appear when searching using the Libraries Worldwide scope on the main and advanced search screen. A search in Libraries Worldwide will retrieve items available at libraries outside of SU and Summit Libraries.
You can place requests for Libraries Worldwide books in the Catalog using Interlibrary Loan. You must be signed in to your Library Account before Libraries Worldwide requests can be submitted. The following screenshot illustrates how to place Libraries Worldwide requests:
