The Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons is piloting two citation indices and two journal metric resources during the 2021–2022 academic year.
The Library is piloting Web of Science until May 31, 2022. This pilot includes access to articles published between 2010 and 2020 in both the sciences and the social sciences, as well as access to Journal Citation Reports. You can access Web of Science here and Journal Citation Reports here.
Until December 31, 2021, the Library is also piloting Scopus. Scopus features abstracts and citations from literature in many disciplines, including science, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities. You can access Scopus here. CiteScore, a separate journal citation metric, is freely available and can be accessed any time here.
Over the course of these two pilots, the Library will assess the role of citation and journal metrics resources in supporting teaching, learning, and research, and assess the possible subscription to one of these tools aligned with other resource needs and priorities. Your feedback is very important to this assessment! Please share any feedback with us via this feedback form.
Additional information and timeline can be found at Citation Index & Journal Metrics Pilot Library Guide. If you have any questions, please contact your liaison librarian or contact Director of Resource Acquisition & Management Jan Hartley at hartleyj@seattleu.edu.
