Seattle University faculty, students, and staff now have more options for requesting and renewing materials!
Scan requests
Seattle University faculty, students, and staff can now request scans of certain Lemieux Library owned physical items such as book chapters or journal articles for personal use. To request an item, search the library catalog and look for the link that reads, “Request a scanned chapter/article.” Requests usually take 3-5 business days and can be placed via Primo, the library’s catalog.
For more information, including information on quality of scans and restrictions, please see our Article and Book Chapter Scanning Guide for our FAQ.
Renew Summit materials
Seattle University faculty, students, and staff can now renew items borrowed through Summit! Items can be renewed once for a renewal period the same length of as the original loan (books for 6 weeks, media for 6 days). If the renewal is approved, you will receive an email confirmation with the new date. Make a renewal request through your Library Account.
The renewal period starts when the request is made, so make the request 3-4 days before the due date in order to maximize the length of time you have the book!
For more information about Summit loans, please see the Library’s Borrowing Guide.
