Notice of Facilities Work: Electrical Repair Impacting Library Heat 11/9/22

by Jacob Smit on 2022-11-07T15:32:00-08:00 | 0 Comments

Due to a campus electrical repair, the library building will be without heat on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022 from 6:00am to 6:00pm. Below is the official communications from Facilities including their contact information at the bottom. Thank you for your patience!

Facilities staff have assured us that:

  • The building will be preheated overnight before securing the heating system’s power source, so the building will be warm when the heating system goes offline.

  • Outside airflow will be reduced to retain as much building heat as possible –– over time it will get cooler, and some folks may prefer to bundle up when in the library.

  • Heating services remain available at all other buildings except those listed in the notice. Group study space is available in Academic buildings Bannon, Casey, Pigott and the Sinegal Center.
