Now Hiring: Student Engagement Librarian

The Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons seek a collaborative academic librarian interested in working with diverse student organizations and providing outreach to underserved populations to fill the position of Student Engagement Librarian. As a member of the Research Services department, the successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with Library Faculty to develop effective and innovative methods to foster information literacy skills with new and traditionally underserved students.  

Working closely with our Coordinator of Teaching and Learning, this new role will also be responsible for supporting Library and campus needs by exploring new avenues for student engagement with the Library, formalizing partnerships with student support programs, and helping the Research Services department make strategic decisions about designing new services and/or programs to support students.  This individual will also be working alongside the Research Services’ new Student Peer Research Consultant (SPRC) program, serving as a member of the leadership team, and helping student consultants integrate our services into library instruction and outreach initiatives, and develop professional and leadership skills.
