MPC Learning Guide

MPC Bookings

In order to reserve spaces in the MPC please visit the MPC Bookings Form. 

Please note that not all parts of the MPC facility and equipment are currently available. Assistance with software, hardware, and equipment not normally supported by the MPC may be limited or not supported. 

If you have additional questions or concerns, please complete a faculty support request or a student support request in addition to your booking and include as much detail as you can. 

Screening Room

The MPC Screening Room is a 20-seat space equipped with a projector and surround sound system to be used for DVD, Blu-ray, VHS, or streaming. 

  • The Screening Room is available by appointment only, and only during certain Media Production Center service hours. 

  • At this time access to the studio is prioritized for faculty and class screenings, but we are open to student screenings as well. 

Filming in the Recording Studio

The MPC Studio & Control Room are  equipped with  HD cameras, live multi-input switcher, and variety of backdrops, audio and lighting equipment.

  • The Recording Studio is available by appointment only, and only during certain Media Production Center service hours.
  • At this time access to the studio is prioritized for faculty creating virtual instruction materials, but we are open to student projects as well. 
  • Absolutely NO Food or Beverages are allowed in the Studio or Control Room.
  • The Center is not responsible for, and does not provide storage for your electronic files.
  • You are required to bring your own storage device (USB 3.0 are recommended) to work on projects in the Center.

 

Recording in the Podcast Studio

Our Podcast Studio offers a way to produce high-quality audio recordings for content such as; podcasts, online lectures, interviews, student assignments, and oral histories.

  • The Podcast Studio is available by appointment only, and only during certain Media Production Center service hours.
  • At this time access to the studio is prioritized for faculty creating virtual instruction materials, but we are open to student projects as well.  
  • Approval of requests is contingent upon availability.
  • Absolutely NO Food or Beverages are allowed in the Podcast Studio.
