We are a non-profit organization that is dependent on volunteers. We advocate for human rights, humane immigration reform, and social justice. This work is done in an attempt to reduce the number of fatalities along the US-Mexico border by educating and assisting the communities on both sides of the border. Services include educational programs, Water Drops in the desert, Day Laborer Outreach, Familias Reunidas Immigration Bond Fund program, and Shelter Aid support in Tijuana to aid migrants and asylum seekers in need.

Derechos Humanos is a grassroots organization that promotes the human and civil rights of all migrants regardless of their immigration status. Consequently, we fight the militarization of our southern border home and combat the discrimination and human rights abuses of both our citizen and non-citizen brothers and sisters.

In 2013, Colibrí’s co-founders — Robin Reineke, William Masson, Chelsea Halstead, and Reyna Araibi — grew the Missing Migrant Project into the organization now known as the Colibrí Center for Human Rights, an expanded and more comprehensive effort to address the needs of families of the missing and to continue to work on the cases of missing and unidentified individuals. The work of the Colibrí Center builds on a legacy of humanitarian work in southern Arizona done by organizations such as Coalición de Derechos Humanos, No More Deaths, and Tucson Samaritans, all concerned with upholding human rights and human dignity throughout the borderlands.

The Hope Border Institute (HOPE) brings the perspective of Catholic social teaching to bear on the realities unique to our US-Mexico border region. Through a robust program of research and policy work, leadership development and action, we work to build justice and deepen solidarity across the borderlands.

The Kino Border Initiative (KBI) is a binational, inclusive Roman Catholic organization, inspired by the spirituality of the Jesuits and Missionaries of the Eucharist; locally rooted in Ambos Nogales on the Mexico- US border and with a regional approach organization throughout Central America and North America.

No More Deaths is a humanitarian organization based in southern Arizona. We began in 2004 in the form of a coalition of community and faith groups, dedicated to stepping up efforts to stop the deaths of migrants in the desert and to achieving the enactment of a set of Faith-Based Principles for Immigration Reform. We later developed into an autonomous project. Since 2008 we have been an official ministry of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tucson.

The Southern Border Communities Coalition brings together networks from across the southern border to promote policies and solutions that improve the quality of life of border residents

Tucson Samaritans are people of faith and conscience who are responding directly, practically and passionately to the crisis at the US/ Mexico border. We are a diverse group of volunteers that are united in our desire to relieve suffering among our brothers and sisters and to honor their human dignity. Prompted by the mounting deaths of border crossers, we came together July 2002 to provide emergency medical assistance, food and water to people crossing the Sonoran Desert.
