Citation Index & Journal Metrics Pilot

About the Pilot

OVERVIEW: The Lemieux Library and McGoldrick Learning Commons will be piloting two citation indices and two journal metric resources during the 2021-2022 academic year.   This pilot will assist the library assess the role of citation and journal metric resources in supporting teaching, learning and research and allow the library to evaluate a possible subscription to a citation index and journal metric resources aligned with other resource needs and priorities.  For this pilot we will assessing resources from Clarivate and Elsevier.


TIMELINE:   This pilot and assessment will run from July 1, 2021 - March, 1 2022.  Based on user feedback, assessment, financial considerations, and other resource priorities, we will decide by Spring 2022 whether a citation index and journal metric resources are a good fit for Seattle University and whether or not to move forward with a subscription.    

CONTENT:  During the academic year there will be opportunities explore and compare the scope and content of these resources

FEEDBACK:  Feedback opportunities, including surveys, will be available and help us to assess use and faculty preference for these tools.   We encourage you to use both databases while they are available.  Please submit your feedback using this short form. (5-10 minutes)
